Recent NewsStephouse Goes GreenSubmitted by stephouse on Thu, 2007-01-25 17:15.Stephouse Networks has long been commited to minimizing our environmental impact in whatever way possible. With the help of Green Mountain Energy, we have recently offset our "Carbon Footprint" by 100% through the ongoing purchase of renewable energy credits. This allows us to offset the environmental impact of the power utilization in our datacenter, office and remote radio tower locations as well as the commuting of our employees and use of our service vehicles. We are currently in the process of trading out our gas guzzling service vehicles with E85 equiped service vans to minimize our local environmental impact created by driving. Moreover we are commited to utilizing environmentally friendly practices in our office. All of our paper materials are printed on 100% post consumer recycled paper and soy based inks. We strive to continue leading our industry in environmentally friendly business practices in the years to come. ![]() Stephouse Networks announces WiMAX network availability in Downtown Portland, OregonSubmitted by stephouse on Mon, 2006-10-02 18:43.Stephouse Networks now offers enterprise class WiMAX service available in many parts of downtown Portland, Oregon. New website for City of Portland developed by StephouseSubmitted by stephouse on Fri, 2006-08-18 09:43.The City of Portland recently selected Stephouse to create a new look for their website for the Childrens Investment Fund. We are pleased to say that the website is now live at www.childrensinvestmentfund.org. Their website is unique in the fact that it not only needed to be an informational tool but it also needed to communicate the emotional side of their project using stories and photographs to show viewers the impact their initiative is making on the City of Portland. Another challenge we faced in this project was that information for their website is constantly being updated and changed. We created a back end interface to the website so that city employees could easily update information, photos, calendar events, and more without contracting an outside web developer to do it. This feature has streamlined their update process and saved the city thousands of dollars in website maintenence costs. |
