We're GreenAt Stephouse Networks, we understand that there is an emissions footprint associated with our business operations. That is why we are partnering with Green Mountain Energy Company to take a leadership role in calculating and offsetting 100% of the total calculated carbon dioxide (CO2) emissions associated with our annual electricity usage, employee transportation and corporate owned vehicles for our corporate office and remote sites since 2006. This commitment offsets approximately 176,000 lbs. of CO2 emissions. Electricity production is the leading cause of industrial air pollution. This is why we worked with Green Mountain Energy Company to create a CO2 emissions footprint for our electricity usage at our headquarters. We measured the emissions impact of our annual electricity and purchased RECs to offset those emissions. We also purchased carbon offsets to offset the company’s employee transportation and corporate owned vehicles. The offsets purchased have the same environmental impact as not driving a car almost 160,000 miles or the annual forest sequestration of planting more than 10,000 trees. Furthermore, this is equivalent to recycling over 13,000 aluminum cans or recycling over 70,000 pounds of newspaper. Through this process Stephouse Networks is taking responsibility for its share of CO2 emissions and has committed to being part of the solution to global warming.Stephouse service vehicles operate on E85 to minimize our local environmental impact created by driving. In addition, we strongly encourage employees to use alternate transportation if possible, such as commuting by bike, or taking public transportation. We also use environmentally friendly practices in our office. All of our paper materials are printed on 100% post consumer recycled paper and soy based inks. Alongside providing our customers with unparalleled service, solutions, and connectivity, we strive to continue leading our industry in environmentally friendly business practices in the years to come. ![]() |
